Does anyone know if the North-American version could be bought (new) without the slipcase. I just got a copy with the slipcase, and I was wondering wether to submit a new set or just add the slipcase to the existing scans...

Yes, the game was shipped a while after the initial release without a slip cover. I purchased it:)
