I've got the US CD version which has a few more games in there. I'll shot those in a few minutes

Is there a UK CD version? I hope so since some of these new games are obviously British, "Pinta" especially.

I do have a UK/European CD version, but I don't think it contains any other games than the 10 already mentioned.

The Israeli version has a total of 14 games.

Is it certain that nothing was missed in the current entry? The screenshot depicting the games list seems to have a scroll down option: http://www.mobygames.com/game/win3x/klik-play/screenshots/gameShotId,506269/

Also, shouldn't this entry concentrate on the software, and not just the games? The features of the program are hardly mentioned, and there are no screenshots from the actual builder.

I think most of the categories, which relate to specific included games, should perhaps be removed as well.

MG is not interested in the software, only in the games. It is what warrants the entry; software by itself is not listed even when game-related.

[/Q --end Sciere wrote--] Considering the nature of the software, I think it deserves to be made an exception of this rule, along with a few others of its kind.

I also wonder what makes it any less relevant to MG audience's interests than RPG Maker, or Unlimited Adventures, or The Bard's Tale Construction Set.

All of these game-maker-with-games should be included here; I think we're just being advised to focus on the included-game rather than going into too much detail about the engine.

[/Q --end Crawly wrote--] I'm still wondering what these are doing here. Sometimes I wonder what we're trying to document in the first place.

I wouldn't add those construction software with the exception of Unlimited Adventures which already had three games in it. So technically its a game+construction set. Dunno about the others. But like I said, dunno what we're trying to document sometimes.

I thought that FRUA only had Heirs to Skull Crag as far as complete games in it? (hence I made it an alt title.)

Don't recall. Then again, I got it from a friend of mine, probably was his. BTW, that last alt title comment needs some...er...officiality in it. :p

[edit] Just sent in a grammar revise clean-up. Might want to add that default game in the description too, by the way.

I'm going to check again when I get home today, but I'm pretty sure that while the scroll bar was also visible in the European version, there were no more games than the initial 10 games shown (the scroll bar would move to the bottom, but the list not scroll). I don't think my version has more than 10 games.

My version had 20. I've already submitted title/ingame screens for the other 10, as well as screens of changed parts of some of the original 10.

Just read the posts querying the number of games included in this submission. I went back to check the software and it is true, there is a scroll bar on the left of the menu. However it does nothing. It does not scroll indicating that there are no more games and I guess its there as standard - ready for future games if / when they are added.

The package installs the pre-made games into a folder called C:\KLIK\Gamepack and from there I copied them into the c:\KLIK\Game to be able to edit them & see how they worked.

To be absolutely certain I hadn't messed things up while doing this I checked both folders and confirmed there are only ten games in both folders. Additional verification, and I should have checked this first, comes from the front cover which says '10 games included' - top right corner.

So this submission is complete - perhaps more games were included in later versions?

That is true. My version's from Nov 1994, dunno what the original UK version was from.
