This game should be listed to have in-game music be played with AWE32. The in-game music would be played in under the same quality as the console versions with soundbanks and all.
Evidently, I saw SBK files alongside the MID files to find that they were both the same name and assumed them as such. In addition, the MID files are actually RIFF coded, which means they externally support outside data aside from playing notes and using the computer's sound system as a synthesizer. Plus the fact that there's a library file that's named after AWE32.

Not required for Windows games, one of the outdated WINDOWS specs (together with SB 16) - included part/drivers within the OS, automatically supported if programmed within a game, under 95 and later.
