How come I never get spam?
Well, expect that one time a user wanted to do some sexually disturbing things to my toes. True story.

I get emails like that about 2 times a week
I grabbed the following from my inbox.
"I am Mr Moha Das a staff of Banque Internationale du Burkina (B.I.B) here in Burkina Faso / Ouagadougou . In my department I discover an abandoned sum of (US$18.5 Million US Dollars) in an account that belongs to one of our foreign customer who died along with his family in plane crash.
It is therefore upon this discovery that i now decided to make this business proposal to you and release the money to you as the next of kin or relation to the deceased for the safety and subsequent disbursement since nobody is coming for it.
I agree that 40% of this money will be for you, and 10% will be set aside for expenses incurred during the business and 50% would be for me. Then after the money is been transferred into your account, i will visit your country for an investment under your kind control."
Haven't yet got one though MobyGames yet. If it starts to happen more frequently then I'll say that Mobygames should implement a spam filter.
EDIT: Just checked my PM's and I have got this.

I used to get emails in French from (presumably) French porn sites. No idea how my email got on that list, considering I don't speak French. I did run one through Babelfish to see if I could read what they were on about, and got something like:
Me and my friends of moist have just hung some new images. They are sure to make you come all the night. etc. etc.
Probably the only amusement I've ever gotten from junk mail. Maybe because I didn't go to the sites... :P

[Q --start MZ per X wrote--] Yeah, locking the PM system for people with zero contribution points should suffice. [/Q --end MZ per X wrote--] Or at least people with 0 points and nothing pending. Im not so sure, all spammers would have to do is rate one game, and as the system rounds this up to the nearest whole number, the lockout would be bypassed, thus making it useless.

true, but behind every bot is someone who created it. And it's not like it's hard or time consuming. Someone might realise this, and decided 'what the heck'

Out of curiosity. Has anyone ever redundantly tried to spam a spammer? And a more redundant comment (is it me or do I detect everyone is immensely bored as of late?) I somehow noticed that semen and seamen sound the same. Reading dialogs on sea pirate games have now somewhat changed the mood a bit.
