I have so many I had to buy a second house to store them all. 7% 1 vote
That probably was joyvalley, wasn't it?
Also, I own eight games. Which doesn't stop me from contributing screenshots for all those new games ;)

According to my MobyGames havelist (which should be accurate except one or two games not in the database yet) I own 490 individual games (I count all games individually even if I own them in a compilation).
This includes 41 duplicates (Games I own multiple times), 69 games I don't care about (part of a compilation or a covermount), 47 games I don't like and 90 games I didn't play yet.
I knew it would pay someday to make separate lists :)

A guy that used to post on the gamefaqs Saturn messageboard had a nearly complete collection of SEGA Saturn games. I think the only game he was missing was a version of Virtua Fighter Kids that was given out as a promotion with a tea company. He had to keep the collection in a storage facility. ASSEMBLER also has pretty crazy videos of the stuff he keeps in his storage rooms.
I own somewhere between 500 and 600 games, probably getting closer to 600 now. 150 on the PS2, and 20-50 for any other system in recent memory.

I would probably have just over 1000 by now but I donated a large swath (around 100) to various museums over the past year. I'm sitting on around 900 now. All right there in the spreadsheet: http://goo.gl/kZ03c (dozens of which obstinately remain absent from the MobyGames database).

Over 200 comprising of about 30 PS2, 80 odd xbox 360, 3 xbox, 10 PSP, 35ish PS1, a few mega drive games, a smattering of PC games and a DS game i found on the bus. I must admit i am something of a game horder, in that tend to keep a game unless i hate it. I've also recently been expanding my PS1 collection lately. Theres a shop that sells them for (98% of the time) £1.
The funny thing is that a large percentage of my games I actually brought whilst i was on the dole.
My collection has also got me a bit of admiration from a couple of mates as well.

I comepletely forgot about my poll. It seems like it was approved ages ago. As for the question, I think I have around 150 or 200 games at the moment.

Between 401-1000, thereabouts. Perhaps more, but I don't keep track of my PC games, because between digital distribution services, loose disks, and CD envelopes, they're a bit difficult to sift through. Aside from PC, the largest chunk of my collection is made up of NES games. Around 130 of them.

Somewhere around 500, I'm guessing, but I haven't counted for a good long while now. My backlog is pretty disgusting, though, so I'm making a new year's resolution to keep myself from buying any more. I need to get out of this massive hole I've dug myself into...

I must own getting of for 1000 games overall though I am trying to cut back, honest
500 Windows & DOS games, I did list these once but it was too much trouble to keep the list up to date. At the last count, nearly a year ago, it was 450-something.
200+ downloaded games from warez sites.
100+ Spectrum games (just disposed of 200 and got another bumper bundle for Christmas).
100+ Commodore games.
50-100 Amiga games in various formats.
20-30 Amstrad games.
Then there's the stuff on cartridges in the attic that I've forgotten about, and the games and game demos on all the cover disc cd's from the 90's. If I ever run out I can start on all the console games the kids have got stored away.

6305, according to my gamelist file, about half for PC. I've submitted covers for 1731 games, have around 300 games in my inbox, and many of my games aren't complete, or already had covers in mobygames, or are from Steam or the like, so that sounds about right.

I wouldn't count warez stuff as games you "own". I'm currently sitting at roughly 1000 original games across various consoles and computers, although this figure does include about 60 download releases. I really prefer owning them physically, but sometimes it's just not possible unfortunately.

Somewhere i should have some years-old shots, but my collection wasn'r that huge these days. Actually, i'm unable to make shots of my roof truss, it's hard enough to move through with all the slopes etc - no cam that can make fine pictures within a distance of 50cm :( ... so the only option seems to be to unroof - but i'm sure the other owners of the house won't be really happy about this ;)

As you can see, I'm very compact. That's 800-900 games right there (200 discs in each of the 2 folders, lots more in the large case). All the jewel cases inserts (no actual jewel cases; those get trashed) and broken down boxes are stored in some other boxes.

[Q --start Klaster_1 wrote--]Do you trash digipack and metal cases too? [/Q --end Klaster_1 wrote--] I'm not familiar with digipack cases. Example? As for metal cases-- I can't think of any that I've encountered but if it was unique enough, I would probably keep it.
I do have a piece of moviemaking software that came in a metal film canister -- is that what you're thinking of? :-) (Paracomp FilmMaker, seen in this post.)

Those count as being cover art so I hang onto them. I just trash the clumsy, flimsy, plastic cases once I have removed all cover art and manuals.

Here is an old picture (2003) of when I had most of my PS2 games out... almost 700 PS2 alone. Have more since then on all sorts of platforms.

Put me in the 401-1000 category.
My current list at MobyGames is 679 across roughly 32 or so platforms. I was sure I'd break a thousand by the end of 2010 since my "classic game collecting" ramped way up over the last year. There are a few duplicates in there, such as the four copies of Combat for the Atari 2600 I own. At this point, I have a secondary plan to own every copy of Combat in the world, followed by a plan to destroy all but five of them, so the remaining copies are suddenly worth untold thousands. Mwa ha ha ha!!
Also, one of my game systems is not yet represented on MobyGames (I asked about it, and I guess I have to wait until other people agree it deserves to be added), which is the Milton Bradley Microvision. Only 11 games were released for it, and I have four. In their boxes.
Damn, I've been itchin' to add those things to this database!

Well.... I'm using software on my computer to keep track of what I own.... I'm at almost 1,300 games across several platforms including computers, consoles, and hand-helds. I'm still not done going through the game room. I'm assuming that when I'm done it will be at least 1,500.
