The credits contribution form now includes the ability to import credits! To kick things off, it supports the following format:
Group Name Role Title Person Name Role Title Person Name Person Name
So contributors who prefer to write credits in a document first, or already have them written down, can simply copy/paste the whole batch. Instead of copying and pasting each line one by one, which was far too tedious. Whew. Let us know what other format(s) would be helpful.
We've also added frequent collaborating people and companies to person pages. For example, now you can see the most frequent people that John Romero has been credited with. Or the most frequent companies Roberta Williams has been credited along with.
There are some neat stats from this too. Who in the game industry has been credited with the most people? The answer has shared credits with 155,931 others! That's about 15% of the 1 million+ people we have documented.
Here's the changelog:
- Added ability to bulk import credits
- Added frequent collaborators page for people
- Added frequent collaborators page for companies
- Added convenience contribution links to cover, credits and screenshot pages for platforms that don’t yet have contributions
- Meta description updates for various game, company and person pages
- Fixed ordering of countries on game releases
- Approver: Can now delete images from pending credits
- Admin: Fixed country edit tools
- Misc. UI/UX improvements
- Misc. bug fixes, backend updates, optimization

The format looks straightforward, but also opens the way to some confusion.
Using wiki styled symbols to distinguish group, and role would help immensely. You should also have the ability to input the role type with the role title. Here is how the format could be revised.
==Group Name== ===Role Title [Production]=== Person 1
===Role Title [Design]=== Person 1 Person 2
If the input in the Role Type tag is not available on the dropdown, simply default it to null and require a proper input.
I wish it were possible for the Role Type to be automatically be populated based on keywords in the Role Title such as "QA Supervisor" automatically getting the Role Title "Quality Assurance". You would still get the option to change the Role Type if the automatic choice does not seem correct.
