Stewart Gilray's industry experience started professionally in April 1988 in his native Scotland, where he was a freelance programmer on titles for Atari ST and CBM Amiga for companies like Hewson Consultants, Psygnosis, Grandslam, Electronic Arts, Bullfrog and Argonaut to name but a few. In 1993 he moved to Oxfordshire to work at 21st Century Entertainment as a Associate Producer on games such as Pinball Fantasies, Marvins Marvellous Adventure and Synnergist among others. He later worked for companies such as Grolier Interactive, Revolution Software, and Runecraft before founding the developer Just Add Water (Development), Ltd. in October 2006. While at JAW, Stewart and his team have been forging relationships with companies as diverse as Codemasters, Rebellion, Oddworld Inhabitants, FOX and Bethesda to name but a few.
He passed away in January 2022 at the age of 51 following a COVID-19 infection. He was the husband of Becca Gilray.
