Hiroyuki Owaku is a video game writer best known for his work on the Silent Hill franchise. On the first game in the series Owaku's role was that of event programmer and enemy programmer. For Silent Hill 2 he became the scenario writer and remained in this role for Silent Hill 3.
Although the Silent Hill franchise was handed over to western developers after the release of Silent Hill 4: The Room Owaku went on to create a digital manga based on the series, Silent Hill: Cage of Cradle, with art designer Masahiro Ito which was released in Japan in 2006.
