Sugar & Rockets was a second-party development and production house owned by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. It was established on October 14, 1997 and headed by Akira Satō and Tetsuji Yamamoto. As a division of Sony, Sugar & Rockets oversaw development of a number of franchises, including Intelligent Qube, Jumping Flash, and PoPoLoCrois, and in total produced over a dozen titles.
The division ceased to exist in August 2000 when SCEI consolidated its internal development.
