Overview edit · view history

White Birds Productions is a development studio founded by Benoît Sokal, Olivier Fontenay, Jean-Philippe Messian and Michel Bams in August 2003 in Paris, France. Prior to the establishment of the company, the founders worked together on AmerZone and the two Syberia games at MC2-Microïds.

The company released its first game Paradise in April 2005, but they do not only focus on game development. White Birds released a series of Paradise graphic novels and are working on the film Aquarica. Benoît Sokal is the company's artistic director and the team of circa 30 members focuses on the creation of ideas and art, while the main portion of the coding and graphics work is outsourced to companies in Canada and Slovenia.

In October 2007, White Birds released their second game, the murder mystery Sinking Island.

In June 2008 it was announced that the company is developing their first game for the Nintendo DS system, The Last King of Africa, a remake of Paradise, with an expected release in late 2008.
