Data West is a Japanese software development company that was established in Osaka in May 1986. The company's director is Naokazu Akita. They produced games in a variety of genres, primarily for Japanese home computers, and were an important third-party for Fujitsu's FM Towns platform. Among their better-known series are Rayxanber, 4th Unit, and Psychic Detective.

The company left the games industry around 1998; their last released title was the PlayStation action RPG Brave Prove. Today, the company's primary business is car navigation system software.
