Overview edit · view history
MUSE Co., Ltd. (有限会社ミューズ) was a music and sound production company headed by Akira Satō, who had previously worked as a composer at Tose and Seibu Kaihatsu. The company was founded in 1992 and appears to have existed until at least 2001.
Early on, the company's main client was Ides, and produced the music for most releases under the FairyTale and Cocktail Soft brands. However, due to a reported dispute between the two companies in 1996, several staff left to start the new company Doors Music Entertainment which produced the music for future Ides (later F&C) titles.
Many games only credit MUSE and not individual composers. Apart from Akira Satō himself who was often the sound director, composers known to have worked for the company include Chika Nagaura, Hideaki Takeshita, Kiyotaka Satou, Misako Saito, Naoki Kanamori, Nobuhiro Makino, Ryu Takami, Takakazu Umeno, and Yoshihito Hata.
