Seta is turned into a daughter company of majority shareholder Aruze.

Seta Corp. is restructured with its headquarters in Setagaya district in Tokyo, with the objective of developing and selling game and amusement hardware and/or software.

August 10, 1985

Seta releases its first game for the Famicom, based on shôgi, or Japanese chess.
