Microïds Canada Inc. was a North American division of French video game developer Microïds. The Canadian company was founded in 1999. In 2003, they merged with MC2 to form MC2-Microïds. In 2005, they briefly shortened their name to MC2 before they ultimately they reverted back to the Microïds Canada Inc. name.
In March 2005, Ubi Soft acquired Microïds Canada. Ubisoft Canada Inc, Ubisoft's Montreal Branch, got 50 of the employees who were integrated into Ubisoft's Montreal development teams.
