Hoffmann + Associates Inc., a Toronto Canada, based company, is an internationally recognized multimedia company incorporated in 1992.
H+A, the abbreviated name by which the company is commonly known, develops, publishes and distributes recreational and educational software. It was founded by Isabel Hoffmann, president and chief executive officer.
Hoffmann + Associates won Goodwill Toronto's prestigious Employer of the Year award in 1996.
The company acquired Corel Corporation's CD HOME COLLECTION (over 60 multimedia titles) in 1997 as well as the Corel ChemLab studio. As part of the deal, Corel held a minority interest in Hoffmann + Associates as well as an ongoing royalty stream over a specific time period.
At the time the purchase was announced, there were several other divisions within the company structure: ABCD's, a children's products division for the main purpose of development and production of the Nikolai's AdventuresO series of CD-ROMs * InterNetWorks* division, devoted to internet services (website design, development, hosting etc.)
