Overview edit · view history

OUAT Entertainment was a French video game studio based in Angoulême.

Founded on 29th March 1999 by husband and wife Sébastien and Dominique Doumic, the company initially mostly worked as a third party developer for console games and interactive DVD for publishers such as Wanadoo, Emme, Ubisoft or Vivendi Universal. OUAT also developed several hidden object games for Windows, some of them published by Big Fish Games.

Following financial trouble in 2012, OUAT decided to focus on its own IP and to self-publish games on Facebook and mobile, mostly using free-to-play monetization to generate revenues.

Following the collapse of a customer and a large unpaid bill, the company ran into new financial woes in 2017. Liquidation was declared on 18th May 2017 and OUAT Entertainment closed its door in July after 18 years in operation. At that time, the company headcount was around 15 employees. Celsius Online purchased most of the intellectual property for the mobile games.
