10tacle studios AG was a German game publisher founded by CEO Michele Pes in August 2003 in Darmstadt, Germany.

Since its founding 10tacle studios AG acquired many companies in different countries. The first one was the German studio reakktor.com in 2004 and in October 2005 they acquired development studio elseWhere Entertainment and renamed it 10tacle Studios Belgium. In December of 2005 they opened a development studio in Singapore, and Blimey! Games was acquired two months later in February 2006. The hand-held division 10tacle Studios Mobile GmbH was established later that year in May.

In June 2007 they acquired development studio Stormregion and in August 2007 a stake in The Climax Group. In December 2007 10tacle announced to acquire Berlin-based TGC – The Games Company, but due to financial problems that never happened. Because of their finances 10tacle claimed insolvency in August 2008 (this also lead to the end of the subsidiary 10tacle Studios Slovakia).

August 6, 2008: The company opens insolvency proceedings in Darmstadt (Germany), followed by a share price drop over 73 percent on the Frankfurt stock exchange.
May 9, 2008: It is announced the intended takeover of TGC - The Games Company GmbH, announced in December 2007, does not go through.
December 19, 2007: The company announces its intention to take over TGC - The Games Company GmbH.
August 6, 2007: The company announces plans to acquire a 29% stake in the Climax Group.
June 5, 2007: The company acquires Stormregion.

Listed in the General Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, 10tacle studios AG is one of Europe’s leading independent developers and producers of high-end computer and video games.

In the first six months of 2006, the company reported a turnover increase to 12.71 million Euros (first six months of 2005: 1.8 million Euros). 10TACLE STUDIOS AG’s adjusted EBITDA improved to 2.9 million Euros in the first six months of 2006 (first six months of 2005: 510,000 Euros). EBIT reached 2.3 million Euros, compared to 43,000 Euros in the year-ago period. Currently, more than 230 employees work for the Company at its headquarters in Darmstadt and the development sites in Duisburg, Hanover, London, Charleroi, Bratislava and Singapore.
