Motion controllers are mostly used for VR games, but not exclusively. Also, some VR games do not support motion controllers and instead use gamepads or other controllers. It doesn't matter what type of motion controller is used to play the game, this is merely to show how many can be used at once during gameplay. Game can support one (i.e. to simulate a lightsaber) or two (two simulate left and right hand) or in case of supporting more than one player at the time, up to two per player.
