Games documented under the Terminal platform aren't part of a unified platform, but playable remotely on a variety of "terminals". Terminals can be a variety of devices including computers or TVs. The game is run remotely and the terminal is only used to send commands to the remote computer and receive and display the new state returned.
This platform is closely tied to the Mainframe platform, as in the early years of computers programs were often run on centralized mainframes. In most cases we will document such games under the Mainframe platform.
The Terminal platform contains many "sub-platforms" - specific services and networks - as attributes. Examples include: PLATO, ARPANET, Minitel and Telnet.
