Words Worth
- Words Worth (1993 on PC-98, Sharp X68000, FM Towns)
Description
Words Worth is a remake of an earlier game of the same name.
The story (Astral, prince of the Shadow Tribe, is on a mission to find out who destroyed a sacred tablet, provoking a hundred-years war between the Tribes of Light and Shadow) remains largely unchanged, although some of the dialogues were re-written and additional characters introduced. The structure of the game world is also the same as in the original.
Pseudo-3D graphics of the original were replaced by real-time 3D environments. The 2D anime-style character graphics were also re-done. There is also a new animated intro in this remake.
The most important change concerns the gameplay: instead of the turn-based battles against randomly appearing enemies of the original there are now action-oriented battles. The enemies are wandering around the game world and usually attack Astral on their own. Clicking on them with the left mouse button results in an attack with the equipped weapon. It is possible to freely move during battles.
