Pinball Arcade, Golden Version is absoluut geen stoffige pinballgame. Grafisch gezien ziet het er erg mooi uit en de gameplay verloopt bij alle kasten zeer soepel. Flipper-Fun verzekerd!

Arcade Pinball ziet er in hoge resoluties indrukwekkend uit. Alleen, er is onlangs natuurlijk Big Race USA uitgekomen, dat qua fysische correcte weergave van de bal heel wat hoger scoort dan deze simulatie. Dit neemt echter niet weg dat het spelplezier dat je aan deze zeven tafels kan hebben niet minstens even hoog ligt als bijvoorbeeld Big Race USA of Timeshock.

Несомненно, Pinball Arcade займет почетное место среди симуляторов этого вида развлечений. Но если вам нужен ежедневный адреналинокачатель, то лучше взгляните на Balls Of Steel или Pro Pinball — они более современны и способны доставлять часы не только эстетического удовольствия...

If you're eager to learn pinball, Microsoft Pinball Arcade is a great history lesson, as well as a good way to learn table navigation and scoring techniques. If you're just looking for a solid pinball game to pass the time, there are other games out there with more graphically entrancing features and more modern sounds. But, if you're an elite pinball player looking for the only game that will let you go back in time for a gem such as Slick Chick, this is the only game for you. Microsoft has done a good job recreating the past, but when it comes down to gameplay, you might wonder if other tables from the past would have been more worthy of recreation.

This game is a classic case of overkill. Between the voices, the skill shots, the cheesy pool theme, and the dozens of flashing lights this game is far more impressive to watch than to play. In fact, the whole giant pool ball in the center of the board really detracts from the experience instead of being the creative touch the designers were hoping for. Well, there you go. As a game Pinball arcade fails because the tables just aren't much fun. As a history lesson or trip down nostalgia lane it's great because of its top notch visuals and accuracy.

Die sieben Kugelkisten mögen ja nach allen Regeln der Kunst für den PC umgesetzt worden sein, doch anders als bei Microsofts Arcade-Sammlungen will der Funke hier nicht so recht auf mich überspringen. Zwar klingen die Flipper abwechselnd wie eine amoklaufende Registrierkasse, Omas erste Türglocke nach den Trümmerjahren oder die schönsten Samples aus Pac Man, doch in den Tischen vermute ich Magnete: Die Bälle beschleunigen bergauf oder bremsen urplötzlich ab und kleben fast am Flipper, sowohl auf einem Pentium/200MMX als auch auf einem P/II 300.

Un jeu à éviter, sauf si vous êtes un acharné des flippers ou si vous cherchez un cadeau à faire à pépé pour son noyel !! :-) Encore faudra-t-il qu'il ne soit pas complètement hermétique à la langue de Shakespeare puisque le jeu en lui-même est entièrement en anglais.
