Knights & Merchants: The Peasants Rebellion is an expanded re-release of Knights and Merchants: The Shattered Kingdom. It contains the campaign from the original game as well as a new campaign, with 34 missions in total. Also included is a skirmish mode.
The Steam version includes an HD executable, albeit capable only of playing the campaigns.

The Good
I spent an absolute age trying to find this game, and in my opinion it was worth it. K'n'M was my first strategy game and brought a lot of enjoyment to my gaming life. Like all strategies your town, base, what ever is like a child, you watch it grow and over come barriers, and you defend it against hordes of enemies. Just like a child (lol). Anyway, this is a great little game, good for a first time strategist.
The Bad
Some levels are very time consuming, especially when you can't build a town, and only have an army.

Development
The Peasants Rebellion was originally planned as a free expansion pack for Knights and Merchants. Joymania planned to release the expansion in fall 2000, but due to unknown reasons the expansion was delayed for almost a year and then released as a standalone product.
