Trivia
Software graphics
Being one of the last commercial DOS games released, Darklight Conflict has a surprisingly advanced software 3D rendering engine that produces effects normally only seen in hardware 3D engines. So much so, in fact, that one reviewer for Gamecenter stated that "The convergence of sharp graphics, smooth frame rates, detailed sound, real-time light sourcing, and varied weaponry is unparalleled. The light sourcing is remarkably thorough, emitting from explosions, stars, engine exhaust, comet trails, and even navigation lights."
