Caster
Description official description
In this game players control a caster who needs to rid his world of the Flanx, strange creatures that have come to haunt the area. Set in several areas with complete freedom of movement linked on a world map, players need to complete objectives such as healing trees, taking out creatures and collecting energy points. Played from a third person perspective, the camera can be rotated freely to get a better view. At the start of each mission, the objectives and new features are introduced by a female character.
Players start with a single weapon (Pulse), but during the game more can be found: Blast (chargeable and able to deform any kind of terrain), Orbit (defensive orbitals that can also be launched as an attack), Eruptor (able to raise the ground), Seeker (fires seeking missiles) and Stun (auto targets and stuns enemies). These, as well as the basic abilities such as Shield, Pickup Distance, Dash and Super Jump, can be upgraded in a shop screen with the points earned after each mission. While playing, the right mouse button is used to switch between the available attacks.
The large amount of freedom can be used to jump to great heights, run around and up mountains at incredible speeds and terraforming of any kind of environment. Creative use will have the player dig holes to launch enemies resistant to regular weapons into holes filled lava. There are three difficulty levels (based on the speed of enemies and shield regeneration) and often multiple missions are available on the world map at the same time. A radar in the bottom right part of the screen shows the objectives and enemies.

Trivia
Financial model
Caster features a fairly unique financial approach to episodic gaming, requiring that only the first episode be purchased, all subsequent releases then being provided for free. This promise was honoured for all platforms when the second episode was released in March 2010.
