Battery Check
Description
Battery Check is a 2D platform game where the player takes the role of a battery guy. The game was used to promote the recycling of empty batteries. It was developed for the Dutch Stibat foundation (Stichting Batterijen) and could be traded for fifteen empty batteries at a distribution point (usually a store).
Gameplay involves the jumping on platforms and evading obstacles as well as creatures that attack you and drain you of energy. On top of the screen is a energy meter witch depletes when moving around. If the meter is empty you lose a live. The meter can be recharged at a charging stations found around the maps. Around the map charged batteries can be found and collected and be used for charging moving platforms and elevators. As you charge an elevator or platform you collect an empty battery. The empty batteries can traded for charged ones with a sitting green dragon found around the maps. At the end a boss has to be beaten to complete the game.
