Description official descriptions

Darkseid has joined forces with Lex Luthor, unleashing an army of robotic warriors on the city of Metropolis, and the world. So once again it is up to Superman to save the day.

Based on the recent animated TV series, Superman will travel around with all powers intact through 14 levels in order to defeat the robots and the many other bad guys that are out to take over the world.

Superman's powers once again include freeze breath, x-ray vision, heat vision and super strength. The new 1st person mode also allows even stronger attacks at a far more accurate rate. In between levels are fully animated cut scenes that tell the story, as Superman goes head on with Livewire, Parasite, Metallo, Luthor and Darkseid.

Finally a game worthy of Superman! Great forerunner for the up and coming Superman Returns game coming out this fall !!!

The Good
I loved the overall game play and being able to control the man of steel in action, especially soaring through the air at super speed. The sound also certainly suited this game and this game was a great capture of the animated t.v. series into game form! The grafics were very good and colorful, especially the man of steel himself, who never looked better in a game. The main thing about this game that I liked was the overall feeling I got from playing it and I truly felt what it was like to be superman, the protector of the world! Awesome feeling and a great rush.

The Bad
The only thing that I did'nt like about this game was that it was'nt long enough. There should been at least a few more levels and a battle with one of the two main evil villains in the game Darkseid would of made it even more fun and challenging.Possibly a level where Superman had to save a plane from crashing!

The Bottom Line
I think this is a great game to for anyone who loves action adventure games and especially for huge Superman fans. This was the best Superman game that I have ever played by far, even better than Superman the Man of Steel for xbox which was a pretty good game.Great to see the vast improvement form the N64 Superman game though. That was the worst Superman game ever to be released. If you're A big superman fan than at least rent shadow of apokolips because it's the best portrayal of the man of steel yet and it's a great forerunner for the new Superman Returns game coming out this fall ! I can't wait to play it. Looks awesome !
