The Polyphonic Spree: The Quest for the Rest
Description
The Polyphonic Spree, the indie-rock gospel music cult from Dallas, Texas, commissioned the authors of Samorost to make a small game, focusing on the very gamely theme of overcoming obstacles, in order to promote their 2004 album "Together We're Heavy".
The game portrays three minuscule gown-clad members of the ensemble separated from their musical companions across three weird and detailed landscapes of desert, forest and ocean. The player's job is to mouse-click on various parts of the screen, hoping to activate parts of the strange scenery (and in the correct sequence) to assist their passage from left to right, ever homewards, along the way overcoming a giant frog and octopus and traveling by airship and submarine.

Trivia
Though the game can be played through in a matter of minutes, its lush design nonetheless represents two months of hard work on the part of the developers.
