Invaders: Corruption
Description
Invaders: Corruption is a single-screen arena shooter similar to Geometry Wars. Players control a space ship, with a single life, engaging endless waves of enemies. The goal is simply to get a high score. The most important difference compared to similar games is that all content is procedurally generated. Before starting the player has to enter a seed word that influences the player's ship, bullets, enemies and their behaviour, and bonuses. With each new seed the game behaves differently and there are also multiple backgrounds to choose from.
The ship is controlled through the keyboard keys and the mouse is used to aim and shoot. The ship can freely navigate the environment. Different power-ups can appear, such as bombs that clear most of the screen (one is provided at the start), shields, time stretch, faster firing rate and multiple bullets. They need to be picked up quickly or they disappear. For each destroyed ship a score is awarded and after a set amount of points a points multiplier is provided. After playing the score can be submitting to a global online leaderboard.
