The Head of the Beast
Description
The Head of the Beast is a joystick driven text adventure for the TRS-80 CoCo.
Since the Beast came to the Forest of Wilmouth, the land has been filled by all manners of evil. Those who dare venture out at night or roam too close to the Beast's lair return a raving mess, or not at all. His Majesty, the King of Daethnon has declared, has declared that the one who brings him the head of the Beast shall be rewarded the hand of the Princess Shera and one quarter the land of the kingdom. You play as Jon, the woodcutter's son, who has lost both of his parents to the Beast's malice. Steeling your nerve, you set out into the woods to slay the beast.
Unusual for text adventures, all commands are by choosing a verb and noun from menu options using the joystick. There is a save/restore feature.
