A minor upgrade to a truly great game. The best transport management sim out there.
The Good
This game is fundamentally the same as the original Transport Tycoon (so go read that review) - the same cool graphics, great music and stunning gameplay. It is time consuming, but utterly worthwhile.
The Bad
Once again - same game, same problems. The game still has no speed control, it still has really crap AI, and the bus drivers still don't stop at railroad crossings. Apart from that, it's a damn good game. And if the AI really annoys you, just play without any competitors. It gives you more room, and they're not really a challenge anyway.
The Bottom Line
This is a very minor upgarde to the orginal, adding a some new worlds with varied graphics, and a few minor updates. It's still a brilliant game and well worth buying, so no change there. If you don't already have this game, you may as well get this version. In fact, I don't think you can even get the original anymore. For more information, go read my review on the original Transport Tycoon, since the games are virtually indistinguishable.

The Good
Just about everything. The detail in the game is great and the music is the best I have ever heard in a computer game.
The Bad
The only thing I didn't like about this game was the fact that only the player and AI vehicles are shown on screen. To make the game seem more realistic, other vehicles such as cars could be shown (remember not everyone will want to travel by public transport)
The Bottom Line
Overall just a great game. Once you get your transport company up and running you can just sit back and watch the vehicles going about their business. Very enjoyable indeed.

Better than Sim City, and a Close Second to Sim City 2000, Truely one of the BEST
The Good
It is one of the most addictive games a person can play. You just want to keep playing and playing , purchasing better units, and stomping the computer players. The controls are simple and jumping right into this game is easy. This is a game that truely shows why Microprose is one of the all time best.
The Bad
The fact that it goes so slow, and you can speed it up. The music gets annoying as well. The lack of a good computer AI is sad. You can have the difficulty level at the MAX and still walk all over them.
The Bottom Line
An ALL-Time GREAT!!!!!

Trivia
Remake
The fan remake OpenTTD from 2004 rebuilds the game from the ground up, but can use an existing installation of Transport Tycoon Deluxe to use the classic graphics and audio instead of the community recreations.
