Press Release

The first rule of Fight Club is... Oh what the hell, we'll risk it.

David Finch's film of Chuck Palahniuk's dystopian novel Fight Club tackles a variety of themes; identity, society, global politics, consumerism... Oh, and it also has lots of really hardcore bare-knuckle fighting in it, which forms the basis of the latest addition to the Fight Club canon - a brutal beat 'em up from Genuine Games.

Now (providing you promise not to talk about it), you too can join the infamous 'underground boxing club' and pummel a variety of familiar faces from the film, including Robert 'Bob' Paulson, the lamb-chopped manager of Lou's place and, if you're feeling lucky, Tyler Durden.

Of course, their faces might not be quite so familiar once you're through with them, thanks to the game's impressive real-time facial deformation system. The savagery of bare-knuckle fighting is rammed home in a number of other ways too, with camera zoom-ins and x-ray visual effects showing each fracture at the point of impact.

The wince-inducing scrapping takes place in a number of the film's dark, gritty environments with dramatic night / day and weather effects adding to the brooding atmosphere.

As in the film, Fight Club has a tendency to spread, virus-like, from city to city and, thanks to the inclusion of Net Play, you can take on members of Fight Club chapters anywhere else in the world.

Features characters, locations and storyline elements from the film

  • Realistic fighting with visceral effects
  • Soundtrack includes music from the Dust Brothers, Korn, Limp Bizkit and Queens of the Stone Age
