The Heroes Chronicles series is a spin-off of the Heroes of Might and Magic series. All games within this series are based upon the game engine of the game Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Restoration of Erathia.

Each game tells a different part of Tarnum's story. Once Tarnum was a barbarian hero who turned into a slayer. After his death, the barbarian gods (called Ancestors) refused to give him peace. Now Tarnum has to work for the Ancestors to find peace and access to Paradise.
