American Civil WarGroup DescriptionGames that are based upon the civil war between the United States of America and the Confederate States of America taking place roughly between 1861 to 1865. Games included in this group are not restricted to a specific genre. The location of the war is almost entirely in what we now call the United States. Games may deal with entirely historical events, however it is not a requirement and fictional interpretation or storytelling is completely allowed. (For historically accurate material, please also search the appropriate genre). Some games may use the American Civil War as a backdrop or setting to tell a plot or story independent from the war itself.
