Hi! I'm a new member and am wondering how to add a new "Non-Sport" category. I would like to create the "Tactics" category for games with gameplay focused on tactical engagements.

For instance:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real-time_tactics

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turn-based_tactics

Also, what does "Non-Sport" mean?

Thanks!

To denote such games, use the main genre "Strategy", combined with the non-sports genre "Real-time" and/or "Turn-based".

While we're at it, I'm wondering: why don't we have a "surfing" genre? I know we don't have many surfing games in our db, but what the heck, we even have a paintball genre!

I think that most of these would work better as game groups. (Hm: having membership in game groups selectable as limiting criteria in the game browser? Show me all the managerial vampire-inspired text adventure games of 1993!)

A good number of things that are genres would work better as groups, for example. Some of them even duplicate groups (e.g. comics).

You can find two lists of tactics games on this page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_strategy_video_games

As you can see, the group will quickly fill up with titles.

How do I create a group? How do I add a game to a group?

Little Bird: Polly want your momma's sweet ass.
Shorty Meeks: ...what did Polly say to me?
Little Bird: I said: "Polly wants your momma's... sweet ass".
Shorty Meeks: You don't be talking 'bout my momma son, you don't know my momma son!
Little Bird: Yeah, I know your momma, I f**ked her last night.

Non sport is to separate sports genres (basketball, baseball, etc) from non-sports genres (action, strategy, etc). I would point out there are plenty of games involving motorcycles which are not really sports games, so this may be badly placed.
