Amy Hennig (born August 19, 1964) is a video game director and script writer. She is currently President at Skydance New Media since September 2019.
Her career began in the 1980s when she mostly worked as an artist and animator on titles for the NES. Hennig became a lead designer of games when the original hire left Electronic Arts during production of Michael Jordan: Chaos in the Windy City (1994), leaving her the opportunity to take up the position. In the 1990s Hennig moved to Crystal Dynamics where she worked on the Legacy of Kain series. She then joined Naughty Dog and contributed to the Jak and Daxter titles. She then became the game director for Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (2007).
Hennig worked on several subsequent games in that franchise before leaving Naughty Dog in 2014 to take up a role at Visceral Games, for instance providing additional direction for Battlefield: Hardline (2015). Her main project there was Project Ragtag, a Star Wars game that was eventually moved to another EA studio when it was reported in October 2017 that EA was shutting down Visceral. The game was ultimately cancelled.
In Januari 2018 Hennig left EA and founded her own studio exploring virtual reality games until she joined Skydance New Media to helm a new action title. In March 2024 it was revealed as Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, to be released in 2025.
