Melissa Batten

Melissa Batten was a software engineer at Microsoft since 2002. For the 360 projects, she was especially involved with the titles by Rare. A Harvard-educated lawyer, she had previously been a public defender for the Mecklenburg County (Charlotte, N.C.) Public Defender's Office. She died in July 2008 at the age of 36 when she was murdered by her husband.
