Derek is currently the Executive Producer at K2 Network, where he is in charge of all Game Operations for present and future titles.

His background includes over 11 years of experience within the game industry as a Producer, Designer and Manager. Before joining K2, Derek held the position of Senior Producer at Activision, where he helped ship such AAA titles as Tony Hawk Project 8. Getting his start at Blizzard Entertainment, Derek worked his way up through QA, and into Design and Production, where he helped ship Starcraft, Diablo 2, Warcraft 3 and the mega hit World of Warcraft.

Derek holds a B.A. in History from San Diego State University, has designed multiple, D20 gaming systems and has written 2 fantasy novels.
