DreamCatcher Interactive Inc.
Overview
Since launching their first title in 1996, DreamCatcher Interactive quietly became one of the most successful small-sized publishers in the entertainment software industry. Located in Ontario, Canada, the company began as a publisher exclusively for PC adventure games.
Over the next 10 years, DreamCatcher experienced rapid growth and impressively became a major publisher as well as distributor.
The company diversified into new platforms and genres and, in 2002, formed the publishing label
The Adventure Company to handle their adventure titles.
Their European office in Paris, France, was opened in early 2003 after acquiring French game developer and publisher
Cryo Interactive.
On some of their action titles, the label
DCi Games was used.
In March 2007, both DreamCatcher and The Adventure Company became part of the
JoWooD Group as publishing labels.
