Denki Ltd.
Overview
Denki Ltd. was founded in March 2000 by 4 former team members of
DMA Design. One of the co-founders was
Colin Anderson. The company was located in Dundee, Scotland, and began as a very small independent games studio.
Their first release was
Denki Blocks! in 2001.
During recent years, Denki has focused on interactive television development and has established itself as a leader in the production of games for this platform, routinely taking products from paper concept to completition in less than 10 weeks. The quality and significance of this work was recognised by the games community in 2003 when Denki received an 'Industry Excellence' award for its pioneering work in this field.
Denki was commissioned by
Realtime Worlds Ltd. to oversee design and production during the initial phase of its next-generation product
Crackdown, which was released for the Xbox 360 in Feb. 2007.
Denki now creates digital toys and games for all types of entertainment platforms, but particularly new media devices such as mobile phones, interactive digital television and online games for PC.
